Freecom Hard Drive 80 GB ... have owned one of these for just over 12 months and up until recently it has always done the job with ease. What I love about this drive is that it is host powered through a single usb cable that connects it to the PC. The drive arrived formatted and had about 74 Gigabytes of usable space. It also came with some compression software which I never used. The drive looks good with it s brushed aluminium casing, black fascia and blue glowing led indicators. The USB cable that came with it was a little short for my liking and eventually contributed to the product s demise. Trekstor Datastation Maxi t.u 80 GB ... is basically just an 80gb external hard drive. I bought it mainly as a home for all my music, partly because I was running out of space on my laptop and partly because I wanted it to be portable around different computers. In this sense it has done exactly what I wanted and has been very useful. It is small enough to put into any sized bag and carry around, and the plug and play feature means that you do not have to turn off your computer or anything like that in order to disconnect it. Freecom Hard Drive 80 GB ... bought this model about 2 years ago as a way of backing up important files and particularly photographs that were stored on my computer that I wanted to keep safe. This is exactly what this device has done for me and its been brilliant. You don t need any software to use this device, you just plug it in to any computer via the USB port and drag and drop anything on to it and thats it! Its very quiet (silent) and light enough to carry around I don t think that this is the fastest machine in the world as it can take a little while to copy files over on to it, but if your not in a rush who cares?
