Well, because of what I do for a job, it is essential for me to store and more importantly backup data on a regular basis. I also tend to buy different brand drives, to avoid buying into a bad batch. I purchased this Seagate Pushbutton hard drive when they were discontinuing them, paying £79 from Ebuyer. It arrived quickly and was very easy to set up, out of the box and running in under five minutes. Let s get the bad bits out of the way first. The outer casing is plastic. 	Western Digital My Passport Essential WDME2500 250 GB ... is a cracking piece of kit to add to the collection of anyone who likes to backup data from their PC. I mostly use this to transfer music and movie backups from my pc to my ps3. The USB interface is plug and play although buit into the drive are drivers that i have never ran instead i prefer to use this like a massive flash drive and have never had a problem with just dragging and dropping whatever into it and transferring across platforms. The ps3 reckonised it no problem and backup files open easily, my only complaint is that you cannot use it to store demo s and game data but you CAN use it to store your gamesaves which is handy if your nipping along to your mates... 	Western Digital My Book Home Edition WDH1CS10000 1 TB ... recently bought one of these large HDs to archive all of my downloaded stuff and have it sit by the telly, wired into my portable DVD (which has a USB in port) and thenconsign my huge, wobbly piles of CDrs and DVDrs to the attic. I looked at various options, and then plumped for this one, as it seems to have the best price/perfomance/capacity ratio. It actually does work very well, but I have had something of a frustrating week, and I will outline why, below - hopefully it will prevent people from falling into the same trap that I did!
