I bought this Freecom 60Gb mobile hard drive to store my photos and work for my postgraduate studies. It is very small and light and runs directly from your PC or laptop, so it is completely silent - no need for load fan motors and a separate power supply. I run my from a USB2.0 port and it copes very well with storing all data types, even photos are stored and moved around quickly thanks to it's 60Gb of storage space and its 2MB buffer. It is about 12cm long by 8cm wide and is only 1.5 cm thick so can be easily stored in your laptop bag. I've had no problems with data loss or corruption. I'm very pleased with its performance. Yes, there are cheaper and even great storage capacity hard drives but this one does the job well and has stored everything I need it too, plus there is loads of space left.

Summary: oudles of space and a good quality piece of kit
