There are a few reservations as the hardrive can be a bit noisy unde... Read the full review: Amazingly fast by kingkingbill |

Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 500 GB ... Seagate 7200.11 is probably is worst hard disk there is. I have only had it for 9 months and it s broken. I will keep myself to be subjective when writing this review though - so there s no need to worry! = the BASICS == The Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 was released in 2008. It was the 11th generation of the Barracuda line of hard drives. It comes in 160Gb, 320Gb, 500Gb (mine), 640Gb, 750Gb, 1TB and 1.5TB. It runs on 3 disk platters and can be subjected to forces of 350Gs when not operating. =my EXPERIENCE == The hard drive was working well, compared to my previous (Western Digital 250Gb) which at times doesn t work and clicks occasionally, displaying error 51 in Eve... Samsung Spinpoint F1 HD252HJ 250 GB ... the necessary "hard drive" pun out of the way: INTRODUCTION A hard drive? You may be wondering how knowing what hard drive to choose will benefit you, and you d be surprised. It also still comes with a warranty (in some cases 5 years!) and it s very easy to put together! - Hard drives really aren t that hard to install into PCs, so if you need some extra space a £35 hard drive could save you buying a new computer for hundreds! Alternatively, by buying a hard drive and pay... Read the full review: Don't need a big hard drive? by prosser1 |

Hitachi Travelstar 5K120 80 GB ... Travelstar is a fantastic little hard-drive for me, but I don t use it quite in the way it is intended. It is supposed to be used internally (ie inside the case of your PC or laptop), however I use it as an external drive, connected to my laptop using a simple IDE/SATA to USB lead. This is so I don t have to clog up my main hard drive with games, music etc. I have fashioned a metal casing for it, so dust doesn t get into the workings, so I don t advise doing this unless you can come up with your own way to protect the drive s internal bits and bobs. Performance-wise, I can t fault this little drive. As I mentioned, I use it for gaming, and it s quick enough to cope w...
