I bought this external hard drive around Christmas, when I needed to transfer large amounts of data to my secondary pc and despite being slow ( which could only be expected from a usb 2.0 connection )it fulfilled this intial requirement without any problems. I have since attempted to use it for storing music and films, but find it cannot be left running as it heats up fairly quickly and starts to make noises which make me suspect it will soon cease to work. I would recommend to users who wish to just have some extra storage space to put an internal hd in their pc and for those who wish to transfer large amounts of data - to find a more upmarket model.
