Advantages: If you download a lot this is great for your needs, price drop

As I explained in my other review, a 20GB hard drive is actually only 14GB and so it fills up quicker than you would have thought. Therefore, upgrading to a 120GB HDD might be useful for you and apart from the memory size there is no difference in design.

You can transfer all your old data onto this new hard drive with a data transfer kit that Microsoft send out. You can only transfer data from a smaller HDD to a larger one with this kit. This saves the hassle of transferring the licences of the downloads and having to re-download everything.

There is a 60GB hard drive which also comes in a starter kit with 3 months of Live and a headset which I think is a better deal than this. You're not really going to fill 60GB so 120GB is a little ridiculous but if you use the 360 to download a lot of things which take up large amounts of space such as demos and Arcade games then the 120GB may be more suitable.

The price has been dropped and it used to be a little over £100 so you were paying around £1 per GB (as you don't actually get the full 120GB of memory) but you can now get these hard drives for around £65 - £75 which is a very reasonable price.

Summary: If you haven't got a 360 yet, go for the Elite as it comes with this 120GB HDD
