I bought this hard drive when I was doing my custom PC a matter of months ago, I went with Seagate as they are a well-known company for their hard drives and so thought they would be fairly reliable. I was quite pleased with what I got as in comparison to in my previous PC the hard drive I had no got worked like a dream.
First of all let me start off by giving you the tech specs, The hard drive capacity is labelled at two terabytes, however we all know you don't get as much as it says. This was different to usual though, I hadn't lost much at all and was actually fairly surprised at how much I had got. The hard drive also has 32 megabytes of cache, pretty good even for its size. The hard drive due to its large capacity is actually quite heavy, it weighs in at 655 grams, way over had a kilo unexpectedly. It has an average operating power of 7W so you have to remember of the power coming from your computer's power supply unit you must ensure that this is always going to be allocated 7w to keep it running. The disk speed is actually a fairly moderate 5900 rpm which I think is still fairly adequate giving an excellent 95 MBs data transfer rate.
Usability, I find this hard drive is great to use, the fact it has so much space means I don't need to worry about how much stuff I put on it and ensuring that I only have necessary items as it will take an age to fill this drive up. The fast data transfer rate also makes it easy for me to put new things on or off and move things around on the drive as previously on my old hard drive It would take hours on end just to move a few gigabytes of data where this is capable of doing it in minutes. The drive is also very quiet so you don't have to sit there listening to your drive while browsing on your PC.
In summary I believe this is a very good hard drive for the money, I have never had any issues with its reliability and other features and its specification is more than adequate for most needs.
