Advantages: Fast, quiet, stylish and reliable

Disadvantages: None that I can think of

I received this as a Christmas present last year and the hard drive is still working as good as ever with loads of memory still left unused. Firstly, Seagate is a well known brand in terms of hard drives so you should feel confident in buying one of these and that it won't break down on you.

Anyway, straight into the review..

Capacity:
1TB of memory = 1000GB. You don't exactly get the full 1000GB to use, more like 930GB give or take. But that is still plenty for the casual user. I use it to back up my whole computer and store all my movies, videos, pictures.

Design:
The silvery colour blends in nicely on my desk alongside my monitor using the stand. When in use, the hard drive has a pulsing white light from the centre which is a nice little feature. The hard drive can also sit flat on a surface but in my opinion, it doesn't look as good and uses more table space.

Speed:
Fast. I can easily transfer GB's worth of data in a matter of minutes to and from the hard drive using the USB connection. If I transfer huge quantities of data, I'd let it do its job whilst I turn my attention elsewhere, simple.

Others:
The hard drive has another feature which I particularly like is the sleep function. After a while of not being used, the hard drive auto sleeps so as to not consume so much electricity.

Overall, I haven't got anything negative to say about it. The FreeAgent is fast, quiet, stylish and reliable. Highly recommended.

Summary: Highly recommended to store large quantities of data and to back up your computer
