When this hard drive first came out it was the first hard drive with 32MB of cache. Your cache in simple terms is your working memory, similar to your ram but its not. This hard drive is sata 2 but has a little trick, if your motherboard only support normal sata don't worry, this hard rive will still work. near where the cables all go in there is a little jumper. This limits it to normal sata and it comes with it limited to normal sata. If your mother board does support sata 2 (which all new motherboard do now) then be sure to take out this little jumper so you can have the full sata 2 speeds.
