Seagate External Desktop Drive 1 TB ... had bought this product a couple of months ago due to that my computer was running out of Hard Drive Space. Often you only found 250 - 500 GB Hard Drives for this rpice we saw it for. This is one of the cheapest and the best looking 1TB Hard Drives I have ever bought. Below I have split the review into different catagories and rated them /10 along with a comment. Noise: 10/10 This hard drive is so quite you can t acturlly tell its there. Seagate External Desktop Drive 1 TB ... bought this a while ago to take films and music to uni with me and save carrying hundreds of discs. I have had it a couple of months now and I am yet to find a single flaw. It isn t too big. It looks good on the desk. It s quiet and stays cool during even long periods of use. The 1Tb size fits as much as anyone realistically uses and more than most so you are never worried about running out when you need it. One slight drawback is the need for an external power supply although this is true of any desktop hard drive and isn t too much of a problem. It connects with a USB 2.0 interface allowing data to be written to it at speeds of 30Mbps. The read speed is greater than... Seagate Momentus 5400.6 ST9320325AS 320 GB ... in an external caddy which provides power and allows you to connect it to your computer to read data. It s extremely easy to buy your own hard drive and caddy, connect them together yourself and away you go with your own customised external HDD. A 2.5" hard drive is the size used for laptops so consequently it is smaller and more compact than a regular 3.5" drive for desktops. The Seagate ST9320325AS is a SATA-300 drive which basically means it s quite fast although the regular consumer doesn t really notice the difference all that much between that and older style IDE drives.
