Seagate FreeAgent Pro 500 GB ... is a trusted brand name, a friend of mine referred to me a year ago, when I was looking for a hard drive. Since I have many documents and electronic files stored in my internal hard drive of my desktop, I barely have enough space to have all of them. So, I desperately need an external hard drive for extra space. A 500 GB is big enough to store all the files that I treasured. This Seagate free agent provide a valuable price in the market then; $115 with 5 years quality warranty. It was reliable, I guess. Seagate FreeAgent Desk for Mac 1 TB ... love my storage devices, and I m guessing that because I have sooo much data on my computers and that I love style, that is what pointed me to these lovely devices. Prior to buying the Seagate FreeAgent Desk for Mac, I had bought a 500GB hard drive, then another, then a 1TB drive, all of which did different things. I found myself backing up to one, duplicating to another, a bit of a mess really. Add to this that they are all mismatched in design and it is not aesthetically pleasing either. Seagate FreeAgent Desktop 500 GB ... had my hard drive for about a year before it failed me :( all 500 gb of data gone! the warranty did not cover my problem so i am sitting with a busted hard drive The usb connection came loose after routine plugging in of usb cable connection became sensitive after a few months and then just slipped backward into the hard drive after what is now a year of having the item. There was no way of me avoiding this as i cart the drive between work and home. after a few months the connection became sensitive and now a year later the connection finally came loose! the warranty DOES NOT cover for this! seems as though it is a design flaw and the usb connection didn t have the prop...
