Okay so this product doesn't travel through time and space but it is a very small product that is big on the inside as it stores lots of information, and it does it fast! This product supports the new USB 3 so it has a transfer rate of up to 5Gbps. This is actually extremely fast but don't worry it is backwards compatible with USB 2.0 as well so you can upgrade your computer later and still buy this now.

Upon arrival of the product you are immediately blown away by the size. The size being so small that is! Weighing in at only 159g and being 11.9 x 8.3 x 1.4 cm big this product can be set aside easily when in use. Also the finish of the product is a 'young and fresh' look of engraved dots and a rubber texture that I personally find make it look very attractive. The black colour also fits in with all my other hardware which was one reason why I bought it actually, but you can have it in black, blue, green or orange to suit your mood or personal preference. You could even have different colours for different uses.

Also included in the box is a USB cable, a software disc and a few basic instructions to get you started and using the product. All the instructions are very intuitive making the task of utilising the hard drive very pleasant and problem free. You don't even need a separate power cord with this hard drive like others I have had which reduce their portability, especially when used with a laptop.

Included on the product disc is not only the software to run the product but also 'Nero BackItUp & Burn Essentials' so you can set this product as a backup and let Nero do all the hassle for you. Personally I love all the Nero programs and this one I personally recommend, please get it even if you don't get this product - it is so much better than the standard windows back up.

With regards to this product performing well, I have used it for a few months now to back up my laptop to and also to store my collection of films and music on. I can say that this product is very robust and fits easily into a laptop case so you can take it anywhere with you. The storage capacity is great with an amazing transfer speed - you can even get it in a higher capacity than 500Gb, I think. There is a small red light that indicates data transfer and with a 55cm USB cord it is the perfect companion for just about any computer.

Overall I would highly recommend this drive to anyone looking for a HDD at the moment. So far I have not had any problems and neither have others on the internet. This HDD is priced competitively, available in many colours and storages and coming from a brand that you can trust it is a decent buy. Can't wait to see more USB 3 things in the future.
