Western Digital (WD) has always been my preffered choice for external hard drives. I was initially attracted to them beause of the cheap prices, but its now years since I got my first one. They have never given me any problems, I would probably even pay more than other brands now as this is one I trust. My first was a big beast of a machine that weighed a lot and needed it's own ac adapter. This newer version is much much smaller and lighter, it is very portable. As the price of storage drops, portable hard disks are becoming increasingly popular as a means of extra storage space as well as for backup purposes. This 250GB hard disk from Western Digital illustrates this perfectly being great value for money at just over £50. Western Digital are a brand you can trust when it comes to both internal & external hard disks as they have been in the market for many years.
