Western Digital Elements USB 2.0 drive WDE1U2500 250 GB

This thing is a big beast of a machine, it is heavy, bulky and requires an AC adaptor (provided). New versions are tiny in comparrison weighting almost nothing and they power off the computer via the USB socket. I purchased this machine 3 years ago so at the time I was very happy with it. After 3 years of regular use it still works fine and has never lost any files. I use it to store photos, music and films. I also store other bits and bobs like word documents and programs. I bought this hard drive from Amazon, i can't remember the price but it was a very good price for the size of the disk. I had been looking for an external hard drive for a while so i could back up my files and found this. It comes all complete with power adaptor, rubber pads, i can't actually remember if it came with a USB cable though, but they are easy enough to get. Its just plug and play so very easy to set up.
