Advantages: Clears up disk space on your computer

Disadvantages: This model is too big compared to newer versions

This thing is a big beast of a machine, it is heavy, bulky and requires an AC adaptor (provided). New versions are tiny in comparrison weighting almost nothing and they power off the computer via the USB socket. I purchased this machine 3 years ago so at the time I was very happy with it.

After 3 years of regular use it still works fine and has never lost any files. I use it to store photos, music and films. I also store other bits and bobs like word documents and programs. As soon as it is connected to the computer it is ready to use so no technical know how is needed. You simple cut or copy your chosen file(s) and paste onto the hard drive, accessed via My Computer.

Because this machine has always been reliable and good value, I have now added 2 more of the same storage size to my collection, but they are the newer much smaller types, so I woulod certainly recommend going for the smaller versions instead of this as they work just as well.

Summary: Excellent value but thea smaller drives are a better buy.
