Advantages: The drive is not bulky, looks good, effective and reliable, easy and simple to use

Disadvantages: once its full up you'll want another to make them look even better

I now have two of these drives. I bought one when they were first £130 and another now they are £80 and have found them to be both reliable and amazingly good. The hard drives have enver faield me, (and it never overheats. I have had this on constantly with my computer for weeks at a time.) I use these so much, and they have never occured to have any problems, even when nearing full capacity they run at good speeds.

They powering up of the drive is fairly quick and doesnt take long at all, the write speeds are good and you can get rid of all the sortware it has and just use it normall ywith vista or XP automatically setecting it as a removable drive. The drive works great with my PS3 and 360 among other devices. I am always using it to play my movies off with no lag problems and anything.

The drive looks good especially when you have several lined up all firing up, and brings great storage capacity plus all for a really good price. For the quality and the amount of space you get. Anyone who really needs a lot of space I would reccomend these. However if you have data that is really important, and you have the money I would use one of the Western digital 2TB systems and use it as a RAID drive. This is because that one uses two 1TB drives and you can chose to use one as a failsafe for all your data very useful. However this does a great job of storing and backnig up all your data.

If you wanna change the format setting to NTFS just use windows normal formatter when you right click your drive and change settings. I seasy enough to use and do. The warranty on these items is good and they all are definately the drives i would reccomend.

Summary: This item is a really good piece of kit, especially if you nede a lot of space
