I have purchased two of these, three months apart. This might sound as though I made my second purchase because I was happy with the first, but things are not quite as you might think. My first purchase was for just under £90 and from day one the hard drive performed superbly. It ran very quiet and connected via the Firewire 400 connection it was very fast. Then I started having problems with it dropping the connection and refusing to restart after I had shut it down. Trying it on the USB 2.0 connection sorted the problem, so I overlooked the problems and continued using it. A few months later I really needed to started making a mirrored backup of ...
