More storage than I can ever use
I orginally bought this as I needed a portable storage device which was larger than 2GB- most usb sticks were about that size maximum when I got my passport. This was the cheapest one I could find. Now I use it to back my whole computer up, storing photos, music, dvds ect. And im glad I did as my laptop broke on me without any notice (I have had some bad luck with gadgets) but not with this (touch wood).
I store it in a Nintendo DS case, its the perfect size and keeps me from breaking it when i drop it (I do drop it because im clumsy).
I used it for my projects at uni, so i took it into uni with me everyday always at the bottom of my bag. The passport never got a virus on it even when plugging it into the dirty uni computers, everybody was always getting viruses on their storage devices but not me :D
definately recommend this wd portable storage device, i've had friends with other types and they have lost all their work as theirs broke. but this one is trusty.

Summary: if you want a storage device - go for this one.
