Advantages: This device drive is good value made well and looks good all you want from a storage device

Disadvantages: Is a bit noisy and gets hot when working for a while

Its amazing how cheap data storage is now a days so when I saw the Western Digital USB 2.0 External Hard Drive 160 for such a good price I jumped at the chance to purchased it.
What attracted me to the drive was the very reasonable price and the bright colour that looks good. The device is well made and has proven to be strong as I have knocked it off a high self a couple of times in the last six months and it is still working.
The drive is easy to set-up and is plug and play which means there is no software to install windows recognises the device and to copy files over you just drag and drop them.
The drive I purchased was the 160 gig which is enough for me as I don't store films or large amounts of music but if you do I would look at getting the 500 gig drive as prices have dropped even more in the last six months. I have used this device each day for the past Six months and haven't had any problems with loss of data or corruption.
I am also impressed about the speed of the drive and how last it transfers information. I transferred 110 gig when I first purchased the device and this completed the task in under an hour
In conclusion The device is well made is attractive and has a high data transfer speed. The UBS cable that connects the device to the computer is sort but a trip to the local IT store quickly solved that problem. I would recommend anyone to use this device as its easy to use and a very reliable piece of kit
