Western Digital My Passport Essential WDME5000 500 GB ... space has plummeted and now you can buy huge amounts of storage space for very little money. I already have three external drives giving me a total of about 750GB so when I started to run out of space...yes really!...I decided to go for another external drive. However, as I was also running out of plug sockets I decided to go for a drive which was powered through the USB lead. As a big fan of Western Digital hard drives, I looked at their range and opted for the My Passport 500GB model which set me back approximately £80. My first impression was just how small the drive was compared to my other external drives, measuring approx 11cm x 8cm x 2 cm, it really is a small... Western Digital My Passport Essential WDME2500 250 GB ... storage than I can ever use I orginally bought this as I needed a portable storage device which was larger than 2GB- most usb sticks were about that size maximum when I got my passport. This was the cheapest one I could find. Now I use it to back my whole computer up, storing photos, music, dvds ect. And im glad I did as my laptop broke on me without any notice (I have had some bad luck with gadgets) but not with this (touch wood). I store it in a Nintendo DS case, its the perfect size and keeps me from breaking it when i drop it (I do drop it because im clumsy).
