Exspect EX884
by Eriskaydude15 These in-ear phones were a good acquisition. They offer great quality sound, powerful bass, excellent noise isolation, a stylish design and a specially designed jack to prevent contact and corrosion. The bass in these ear-phones is very powerful! You can really feel it and so much so for me, I had to change the sound ... settings on my I-Pod! Maybe that tells you just how strong the bass is in these earphones. These earphones are sit in earphones, with buds on the end. The buds make for a comfortable listening experience and the sound quality will differ depending on where they sit in your ear. Once you find the perfect spot, the sound quality will be top notch. The earphones are constructed sturdily, meaning if thrown in a bag, with a lot of other stuff they will stick together. The earphones also will stay in your ear, unlike other similar earphones. The sound clarity is fantastic. You can hear each instrument clearly in any song, and there is never any static. As mentioned the earphones cut out a great deal of external noise which is great! These earphones are great value for money, sturdy, good quality, great bass and comfortable. Buy these earphones! Read the complete review |

Exspect EX884
by JohnJoeSmith ~~~~~~~~~~Looks~~~~~~~~~~ These Exspect earphones are well... not what you expect. The photo doesn't do the shine and the luminosity of the fuax metal justice. The looks of these 'phones are like the subway, you're either on board or on the platform. Unfortunately I'm on the platform. I tend to buy earphones to reduce the ... visibility of listening to an MP3 player, not to advertise to people that I have bling sticking out of my ears. All that being said, some people love that kind of stuff. So if you like to show off and peacock a bit then by all means get a pair, but if you like to sit in peace on the train, spend a little more and get the Sennheisers ~~~~~~~~~~Sound~~~~~~~~~~ I bought these earbuds for about £4 so I wasn't expecting the world, and while I didn't get the world I was pleasantly surprised. The noise cancelling effect of the buds is okay though it can be a touch uncomfortable with long uses. I managed to get through a whole Terror Squad album without complaint from my library neighbour, so that has to count for something. The sound is clear, if it is lacking depth at the distant ends of the spectrum. They do cost £4 though so they were never going to compare to Sennheisers costing 10 times as much, or Shures costing 100 times more. ~~~~~~~~~~Conclusion~~~~~~~~~~ Build quality is surprisingly good despite the flimsy looks and I would wager it would be difficult to break these phones accidentaly. The looks are hit or miss but I wouldn't hold that against them. Sound quality is far better than the pricetage suggests and the average iPod listener will not be disappointed. I'd recommend them to anyone who wants a solid pair of earphones but isn't willing to pay serious money. Not for the shy amongst us though! Read the complete review |

Exspect In-Ear Earphones
by terrorbyt I bought these 'phones about 3 months ago from HMV for £5.00 after my last pair of Apple iPod earphones died. I wasn't Exspecting (lol) much from these what with the incredibly low price tag, but overall they're superb. I primarily bought them for use with my iPod touch, and they work great. Sound The sound quality ... is remarkable, albeit the bass is a tad weak, (despite Expect's claim that there is a built in bass booster) as most earphones are. I tend to listen to dubstep, which is typically quite a bass rich genre of music and the 'phones produce really crisp, clear sound without any interference, even at high levels. That's what surprised me most actually, I wasn't expecting such quality from such budget earphones. The sound quality hasn't depreciated at all after 3 months use - impressive. Comfort A major problem with the In-Ear earphones for me is discomfort. Previous models I've purchased have either sat uncomfortable in my ears or have just decided to fall out whenever I move an inch (not so great if you want to listen to your music on the go). These ones are the most comfortable and sturdy I've ever used, they stay in my (normal sized) ears even when jogging, and when I'm not playing music through them I barely know they're there. Overall these earphones are the best I've ever bought, and I've owned a £30 pair before, so that's saying something. They're clearly durable, as they've lasted 3 months without any notable change in sound quality and furthermore they're super cheap. I'm going to order a second pair as soon as these ones break, which doesn't appear to be in the near future! Read the complete review |
