Turtle Beach Ear Force X11 Headset
by bam422
I purchased this wonderful headset for use with my Xbox because of my love for competitive gaming. My favorite thing about this headset is that they allow you to talk and hear the sounds of your game all in one. There are controls on the headset that easily allow for the user to change the game volume, and chat volume. Setting up the ... headset was surprisingly easy. Just following the directions included with the headset was simple, and allowed me to set up the headset in under 10 minutes. The only important direction that I missed was changing your Xbox voice settings to play through both headset and speakers. I also recommend turning up the settings to 10, to avoid any conflict with not being able to hear voice chat or game volume. After using this headset for about a year I would say it is the best one that I have used. The sound quality is outstanding. I love listening to music while I game on my Xbox, and the music sounds great playing through this headset. I play a lot of competitive call of duty where you have to be able to hear people reload, pick up ammo, plant, and defuse. This headset allows me to hear all those things with ease and really improves my gameplay. The overall comfort of this headset is great as well. I have big ears, and unlike previous headsets that I have owned, the Turtle Beach X11's cover my entire ears and do not put any pressure on them, allowing me to game for endless hours without having to take breaks to rest my ears. Another great thing about this headset is it's compatibility to also work on a PC. I use both my Xbox and PC for gaming, so being able to have one quality headset that works great for both was a major plus for me. Another great thing that my family likes is that they can no longer hear the sounds of guns when trying to sleep. I stay up late into the night gaming and my family always complained about the loud sounds coming from the games I was playing. With this headset I am able to turn off the sound coming from my television, and play with the game sound coming through my Xbox, which allows my family to sleep like never before. I love the fact that this headset is relatively cheap compared to others of this kind but still performs just as well as others that cost more and perform the same functions.
One problem I have had with this headset is a static sound when the USB is plugged into the Xbox. This problem really annoyed me, and apparently made my mic echo when in an Xbox live party. Because of this I was almost unable to communicate with friends, and had to send in the headset to be replaced. My headset was replaced which was awesome and I have had no problems since.
Overall, I am very satisfied with the purchase of this headset because they perform the basic functions that you would expect from a headset, and much more. They are able to combine both game and chat volume into one which is a major plus for any hardcore gamer, and have great sound quality. Read the complete review |

Turtle Beach Ear Force X11 Headset
by Bosleyy
This headset is amazing, it has top notch sound quality with easily adjustable game and speech volume scrollers half way up the wire.
This headset is amazingly comfortable and can be adjusted to fit your head perfectly, is has sponge ear guards so it blocks out all other sound in the room so you can get truly focused on your ... game.
This headset is mainly used for the xbox 360, but it can also be used for talking and playing games on the PC as well, as it has a microphone plug as well, it has a separate detachable wire which is used to connect to the xbox 360 controller, but as a universal headset i think the price is well worth it.
the microphone is sensitive so there is no need to have it extremely close to your mouth for other people to hear you, it also picks up your own voice which you can hear through the ear pieces so you know how loud you are talking.
on a bad note, the amount of wiring that you receive with the headset can be frustrating, as it often gets tangled up, also the detachable wire for the controller can be easily lost and if so you cannot use the headset to talk to people on xbox live. Read the complete review |
