I have always liked listening to loud music.Hence the existence of cordless headphones seemed to be of great help:sparing other people's hearing and nervous system and getting as many decibels in my ears as I wanted. Easier said than done. My family is a lot happier,it's me who's the miserable sod. Two reasons: you cannot just pop them on,they have to be charged first, second they are huge. There's a third reason too: you cannot just walk around the house with them on, as they are inseparable form the base infrared unit, so moving to another room involves either taking them off or dislodging the whole system altogether. I've had many headphones, and my aiwas have lasted longer than most, and they give you performance far better than you have a right to expect for the £25 price tag. They are light and quite well built, but comfortable. Put them on, and on many systems, the sound will astound you. On a decent mini system, they will dig out details that you didn't know existed. Connect them to most separates systems though, and you will wonder why you bothered. Bass is deep and fairly tight without having to touch the bass control on the amp, in fact turning the bass up can result in a fairly unpleasant sensation.
