The time had come to buy myself some headphones, not for me, but for the people around me, they need to sleep.

So i did my usual, looked through What Hifi recommendeds and found the AKG K 105 UHF, 5 stars, best cordless they've heard, these are going to be belter.

So off to Richer Sounds i went with £60 in my hands, paid, got them home, opened the box set them up, and thats where the fun ended.

It took around 6-8 hours to charge, which is fair enough, so i finally got my chance to try them out. After about 2 hours of repositioning the box, my head, the slider on the side i still couldn't get a clear reception, not even a half good one.

I looked at the manuel, which again wasn't up to much and it suggested turning electrical equipment off, so i did, but no joy.

Doubts had started to creep into my mind, but i thought i'd give em a spin since i did travel a few miles to get them. So i walked downstairs, tilting my head to the left so the HP's would hold their reception, and as i hit the bottom step, they tunred themselves down.

I had to go back upstairs turn them off, unplug them, and i'd finally get some decent volume. But still when at max they couldn't handle the level i like.

Within about 10 mins after that i packed them back up and had them ready to be booted back to the shop.

It a horror storey with headphones, but what dissapoints me most is that What Hifi rated them as the best they've ever heard, are they deaf? I've put my faith in them throughout my entire buying of audio equipment, and this is the only time they've let me down.

If you cannot be bothered to read the above, in short... DON'T BUY THEM!! THEY ARE RUBBISH!!

So i took them back and got the Bayerdynamic DT231 for £40 and they are immense, well worth every penny. If the AKG K 105 UHF are worth £60, then these are worth £2000.
