Advantages: Mid- range sound quality
Disadvantages: Cord length is a little short
These earphones have quite a standard design, nothing special, though. My interest was that they first retailed at £60, you can now buy them for £18. So I wondered what made these so expensive in the first place- and borrowed them off a friend.
As with all speakers, I tested them over five tracks of varying audio: classical, spoken word, pop, metal and electronic- these provide a good range of pitch types and dynamic changes. These headphones did very well on the classical track, with a lovely, smooth bass sound. Spoken word wasn't so good, the earphones gave too much bass, which does make all voices sound very nasal. The rest of the track were quite good, apart from electronic, where the treble was very weak.
Another slight problem is that the cable length is just 1 metre, not enough for taller people. They work on a 3.5mm jack- so it works on all iPods/MP3 players, etc.
I don't see why these headphones were ever £60, they are nowhere near worth that price. Overall, these headphones provide you with mid- range quality for a mid- range price. I wouldn't personally be willing to pay the price of £60, but these earphones are reasonable good value for £18.
Summary: Good value for its current price.
