Advantages: Ergonomic design
Disadvantages: Average sound quality
These are a pair of low- price range headphones promised to give a 'surprising' sound quality. This is quite a claim, so I decided to test them out.
Sound Quality:
As with all speakers, I tested them over five tracks of varying audio: classical, spoken word, pop, metal and electronic- these provide a good range of pitch types and dynamic changes. Was I surprised? No. Sadly, the promised quality was not surprising in any way whatsoever. By that I do mean that they were not bad quality, neither were they impressive at all. Very average. The classical track was very weak in the bass area and the spoken word didn't give any treble- so words became too soft. It wasn't enjoyable listening through these phones.
The design is good, however, the headphones fit comfortably on top of your ears without pressing on them, which is a good asset. The cord length is 1.2 metres which is long enough for most situations and they work on a 3.5 mm jack.
Overall, there is nothing special about these headphones, just very average.
Summary: Not terrible for the price, but you could do a lot better.

- 14/05/09 You've tested and reviewed a lot of headphones - do you run a hi-fi shop or something? Just curious. |
