Alba In Ear Headphones
Advantages: colour matched my mp3, not badly priced
Disadvantages: everything else
I bought these headphones as a reasonably priced alternative to my old ones that broke during the summer holidays. As I was doing a lot of art projects at the time for a number of different people, I felt that music was the best way to stop me getting distracted so that I would just get on with the job I needed to complete.
The main plus about these headphones was the fact that the colour (black) that I bought was actually an exact match for my mp3 player. Normally, the colours don't quite match (I think my mp3 player is more of a very dark grey or something, as black never matches) but this time they did match, which I thought was a nice touch.
However, I feel like I shouldn't have bothered. I found that these headphones barely worked. The sound they produced was tinny if I had the volume up higher than about 10 (and when you consider that 10 on my mp3 player is so quiet you might as well not have the music on at all, it's not really very good at all) and the louder the volume goes, the quieter the vocals seemed to go and the louder the music went.
Another negative I found with these was that the earphones kept falling out of my ears. I wouldn't say I regularly have this problem with earphones, but with these, I couldn't keep them in my ears for long enough to do the art I was trying to do. They kept falling in the paint, which inevitably meant I had to stop working all together to clean them as well.
What made these even worse was that I had only been 'using' them for about a week and a half when one of the wires inside the cable must've become loose as I lost sound in one ear. Argos wouldn't take them back considering they had paint on them and weren't in an unused condition so I was stuck with a pair of faulty, useless headphones. I wouldn't buy them again, even if they only cost about £6.50.
Summary: I wouldn't buy again
