Advantages: block external sound.....thats it
Disadvantages: smae as the FREE ones
I purchased these to replace the ones that arrived with my ipod and for £25 its fair to say i was expecting big things from theses earphones, sadly they did not deliver, although they are better than the stock ones you get....just.
The earphones arrive in a nice little box and inside you get 3 different ear bud attachments, dependent upon the size of your inner ear, which is great because this helps block out, outer sound and improves the quality of music. This for me was the only thing these earphones did well that the stock ones didnt do. Once you had these earphones in the only thing you could hear was the music, which is fantastic because it sounds so much clearer and crisp, and because theres no outer sound you can have you volume lower which saves battery life on your ipod.
Unfortunately thats where the plus points stop. The sound quality is almost identical if not the same as the stock earphones and the bass response is very weak, especially for the price, the quality is nothing special and id say at times it can be a little fuzzy as i found out by listening to just ordinary house music, nothing heavy at all.
On the whole these are NOT worth the money, save your pennies!!
Summary: not worth buying, look elsewhere for your earphones

- 24/08/09 Really nice review. Don't expect too much on SQ of Apple product. They have nothing to do with hi-fi. |
