Apple earphones are a statement of status and style, so when my old iPod earphones broke, I had to buy some more. Though this product is quite expensive when compared to similar earphones, they offer much more. These aren't to be mistaken for the old style earphones that came with earlier iPod models.

Many people, like me, find that regular sized earphones are too large for their ears and ache after continuous use. They aren’t like that at all, and fit comfortably for long periods of time. This could be a problem for people with larger ears, because the buds haven’t got changeable sizes like some more expensive models.

Another new addition is that the 'L' and 'R' letters that indicate which ear to plug into are on the inside. I can see why this is done, because the outside of the earphones looks tidier, but it's still a bit confusing at first.

The sound they produce is also very loud, which means that full volume doesn’t need the earphones to be plugged in at all. The quality isn’t as high as I expected, but it’s still pretty good for a product of this price and the comfort more than makes up for this.

The only downside to this product, in my opinion, is that it suffers from its own fame. Apple earphones are so well recognised now that wearing them in crowded public places is just asking to get your iPod stolen. This means that you’re limited as to where you can take your mp3 without fearing for its safety.

Summary: Apple earphones are a must for iPod owners, providing comfort and style.
