Advantages: Nice looking, free with any ipod

Disadvantages: Average processing of music, continually slip out of ears whilst running (SO AGGRAVATING!!!)

When I purchased my ipod touch I expected it to come with top quality earphones. How wrong I was proven, I thought it was the very least I could hope for since I dished out £279 for the ipod!

It's not that the earphones processing of music is poor, it's just that it's not up to my (and others) standards hyped up to be. However, when compared to my Bose earphones there is a huge difference in the quality of the music, plus the fact they don't slip out of your ears for every ten paces you take! The ipod earphones deliver to your ear; little range of tones, lack of base and that as you increace the volume the quality of the music gets worse! (not a problem encountered in Bose earphones)

The only advantage of the original headphones is that they are stylish, and very nice looking, as well as the fact of them coming free with the ipod.

The message is clear; ditch your cheap ipod headphones and get the most out of your ipod. You will be astounded by the difference if you should choose to purchase decent quality earphones. I would strongly reccommend Bose; cheaper ones (still great) retail at around £70.

Summary: Dump them off on ebay, then buy some better earphones to gain the best quality of music
