Advantages: Good looking and quite good quality.

Disadvantages: After repeated use, and especially if your ears are small, breakages are common.

I've bought the Apple iPod earphones more than once, which suggests that I like them. I do like them: they're good quality, less ugly than most earphones and practically the only earphones on the market that fit into my ears. However, the fact that I've had to purchase them more than once also tells of their disadvantages. They break fairly easily. They are certainly less wearable than the iPods! The first thing that breaks is the part that plugs into the iPod: the plastic tears often, especially if you keep your iPod in a case. The next thing that breaks is the earphones themselves. The grey comfort strip around the front of the earphones may peel away because of repeated rubbing against the ear, and then the earphone can start clicking worryingly after which it may break completely. Having said all this, I have an idea that the reason for these problems is that my ears are really too small for the earphones, and the fiddling necessary to fit them in is responsible for most of the issues.

Summary: Someone find some earphones which fit in small ears and yet don't cost the earth! This isn't them!
