Advantages: Relatively cheap, average sound quality, quite comfortable

Disadvantages: Aren't very reliable or hard wearing.

These apple iPod earphones are arguably the most easily identifiable headphones to grace the electrical world. In some cases this isn't always an advantage, as anybody who finds themselves having to walk through East London on a regular basis, may find themselves a victim of several suspicious glares that suggest that they want your beloved iPod for themselves.

At the beginning, these earphones have the pretense of everything you've ever wanted to listen to your portable music player. They seem to have excellent sound output and have pretty reasonable bass, for the price anyway. However, as the months pass, you'll soon find the grey rubber circle that keeps them fitting snug in your ear, starts to peel away. You'll find that the ear buds will fall off repeatedly, and after a few attempts of fiddling to re-attatch them, you'll decide that they're simply not worth the hassle.

Personally, I've found that the reasonable sound quality that you experienced will gradually degrade as time passes. Until, one of them cuts out completely and you're left with partially working headphones.

Overall, for the price that these are presently offered for on amazon, I'd recommend for those who listen to their MP3 player occasionally. However, for those of us out there who find themselves at a loss without our iPods or other portable music devices, I'd definitely advise you to invest in some more durable headphones.
