I got my Apple iPod earphones free with my iPod touch when I bought it a few years ago, so I don't know too much about the price of them. I do know about the quality of them however, and I absolutely loved mine while they lasted.
The sound quality of the earphones was amazing, there was no fuzzy background noise, and you could hear every element of the music perfectly.
I also loved these earphones because of the way in which you could be doing almost anything, and they rarely fell out of your ears, and they were also very comfortable, I wore mine for hours at a time! They also look really nice, although mine did get dirty quite easily.
The only bad thing I can say about these earphones, and why I haven't bought any more is that mine stopped working very easily, many of my friends have also had this same problem with the Apple earphones.
