these are the earphones that come as standard when you buy any ipod or iphone and of course keeping with apple's tendencies to go for style over anything else, they look good. They have a clean and pristine look to them in apples, almost trademarked, white. These earphones are now so common though along with the popularity of the ipod and iphone that they now look to many people as your bog standard, and in a way they are. I dont know many people who havn't at some point owned a pair of these but as the ipods have gone on through the generations the earbuds have hardly changed at all making them now look a little dated compared to when they were released as futuristic looking buds.

Now quality, the quality of sound is actually really good considering the price of the earbuds. Although they are included in the price of the ipod you can pick up a pair on Amazon for under £1 making them some of the cheapest if not the cheapest earbuds on the market. of course they wont win any medals for sound quality but there is a satisfactory level of bass and little distortion. they do, thought tend to sound a bit tinny as if your listening to them through a thin wall.

as far as comfort goes, this is where these headphones lag behind. they are made out of plastic and a metal screen that apart from making them feel light and cheapy (which they are so i can't really complain) mean, for me at least, they hang out of your ear rather than sticking in the right place. after about half an hour of constantly listening to music they begin to strain your ears and i found it is worth taking a short break before listening again.
