Advantages: Decent sound quality
Disadvantages: Break very easily, expensive
I have owned probably around 4 or 5 sets of Ipod headphones across the years and have spent countless hours listening to all varieties of music and films through them.
They are a standard white two-ear headphone with a connecting cable of around 1 metre. This is amble enough for all needs as normally, you would keep your MP3 player on your person when listening to something. The actual headphone pieces are white with a grey circle around them which is some sort of cushioning material as when it comes off, they become very uncomfortable to wear.
In terms of sound quality, they are decent but not exceptional by any means. Much better than the cheaper 'ripoffs' of the Ipod headphones but they as they do not cusp your ear, sound is obviously lost and you don't get the full experience that you would with a proper headset. You will also have to turn the sound up quite loud where there is ambient noise as they are not noise cancelling which isn't good for the ears but you can still listen to music even with ambient noise. A pretty decent sound quality but they let down in noisy environments.
The main issue with these headphones is the reliability. I have had pairs which have lasted just a week and some pairs which have lasted a few months so, I guess it sort of comes down to luck. But, at £15 a pop, you would obviously want your headphones to last more than a week. The long term problem with these headphones is that the inner lining of the head piece (the grey bit) wears off and makes them almost too uncomfortable to wear when moving around.
Overall, these are an ok set of headphones but I would not recommend them at the price because of their flimsy nature and flawed design.
Summary: Decent but far too unreliable!
