I'm not the snobbiest when it comes to sound quality - I can tell what's good and i can tell what's poor - but I never really wish to pay much. However, Dre Beats have made me realise what I've been missing out on. I bought my pair of earphones for around £80, and there's a headphone version available too.

APPEARANCE
The Beats are as nice as they can be for a pair of earphones. They're compact, glossy and black and feature dramatic red detailing. The lower case Beats 'b' is also emblazoned on the ear bud in this red. They're distinctive and bold, which is quite nice for impressing your friends and passers by! The wire itself is very fine but very robust and I've not experienced any problems with it feeling loose in the ear bud socket. The earbuds themself sit securely and far into the ear. Personally, I don't like sharing my earphones with other people because of how far they sit in the ear. I can only presume that they're designed for this position to help block out outside noise.

SOUND
Of course, the sound is amazing! I've never experienced sound quality so good as it is through these earphones. When listening to my iPod for example, I would usually find it quite quiet (when used with Apple earphones), but with the Beats a whole new level of volume is unleashed. Not only is the volume improved, the clarity, bass and crispness of the music is also increased. The sound produced really is stunning. The quality is not explicit to one genre of music, and completely uplifts all genres.

The earphones hae the standard jack to fit in to mp3 players, iPods, laptops, iPads etc.

Though the earphones are very expensive, I feel they can be somewhat justified as they are clearly a very advanced, and very good piece of kit. As I also own a HP laptop complete with Dre Beats I truly am experiencing a completely new way of enjoying music!

I would give the earphones five stars for sound quality and listener enjoyment, however the cost is niggling at me and I know it is a very high price for a pair of earphones.
