These headphones have become somewhat of the industry standard for recording studios. Their great advantage - as well as the closed back design which minimises bleed into the microphone when overdubbing - is that everything on them is repalacable. Soundwise they are not particularly fantastic, so if you are an audiophile looking for a pair of headphones to listen to music on then these are probably not the headphones for you. The detachable cable to the headphone has saved my pair on a number of occasions when the cable was stepped on.
