Try SR80 in that case. The bass is not massive, but in a very good quality. The higs are very very well extended, and the highest frequency produced by violin are clearly audible. This is my first truely hi-fi headphone, and I have to say that it is one of the two most recommended headphone within 100 pounds by me,(the other one is SR80 made by Grado). However, if you listen to classical and new age, this Dt440 is definately your BEST choice within 100 pounds. The soundstage of Dt440 is the largest I've ever heard, and it has inherited greatest level of transparency from the previous Beyerdynamic phones, creating a great atomsphere when playing the Newage music.
