Advantages: Good quality, Great price.
Disadvantages: Buds come off easily, Cable noise, tinny on some tracks
These are Creative EP630 in-ear earphones. In the pack were the set of earphones with 3 sets of differently sized silicone buds to accomodate different sized ears.
I was attracted to these headphones for two reasons: they were cheap and they were in ear. And of course it helped convince me being produced by Creative, the same company the makes my mp3 player.
The first thing after buying these headphones before you use them is determine which size of bud will fit you best. I found the larger buds fit best for me, the idea is the closer the fit the better bass response you will get from the headphones.
The first thing I found was that the cable was a bit long for my liking. There was quite alot of slack when I just had my mp3 player in my pocket and this can lead to accidentally pulling the cable out!
But the second thing that hit me was the sound quality, it was an unbelievable step up from the earphones I was previously using. Treble is clear and cutting whilst bass has a large presence, overall I found the clarity to be incredible. But perhaps one fault being perhaps that some songs tend to sound a bit tinny on these earphone. Whether thats because the buds are not the right size or whatever some songs tended to sound a bit tinny.
Cable noise is relatively low and if you are only ocassionally tapping the cable it is fine. I have tried jogging whilst using these headphones however and without turning the earphones up to earsplitting volumes cable noise can be quite a nuisance.
My other peeve with the earphones are that the buds are quite easy to come off and there have been times when I have been hunting all over the floor for one of them after perhaps removing the buds too agressively. Perhaps a case also?
But for the price who am I to complain? Great price in comparison to its competitors with a quality that at such a price is hard to fault.
Summary: More than worth your money!
