Best earphones for under £150 (Denon AH-C751)

I saw the earphones in Selfridges retailing at £149.99. After I read a few reviews I decided I really wanted them.

First port of call was ebay. I watched a few and they sold for between £70 and £80. Then I looked at completed items and realised a pair had sold the day before for £50 so this was my benchmark price. I found a pair the next day, bid and won.

The minute I put these earphones in I was blown away by the power. So much bass. The only good earphones I had used previously were a pair of etymotic eR6i earphones which were also amazing with great sound reproduction, however I had to go through my entire mp3 collection re-equalising everything before I could hear any bass. With these it wasn't required.

Sound reproduction on these is great as is build quality. They are made from machined aluminium and feel very solid. My girlfriend dropped them in a cup of water and they still continue to perform perfectly.
