Advantages: Cheap and cheerful
Disadvantages: Not comfortable fitting; mine broke easily
I got these JVC Gumy in-ear headphone as a gift; I had recently joined a gym and needed some headphones so I could watch the tv whilst plodding on the treadmill. They came in white and looked quite neat and snazzy upon first receipt. I have since found that they are fairly cheap ones you can get them on Amazon I believe currently for £4.99.
~~Using them ~~
When I first used them, the first problem I had was the kept 'popping' out my ears as I moved on the treadmill (and believe you me I don't run on the treadmill I just walk) so the movement I was making was not too excessive but for some uncanny reason they just kept falling out of my ears. I found I was constantly trying to press them back in and wiggle them about to get them in a secure way in my ear. At no point did they feel comfortable. After trying for a number of times, I just took them out and did not use them. The inside of my ears were left bruised and sore possibly from me trying to press them into my ears so much. I did not find the shape to be ergonomically sound for my ears - I don't know how much people manage to keep them in - perhaps my ears are just 'small'.
Anyway I put them away in my bag for another time perhaps however they are so small and the wires fairly slim they ended up getting tangled up in my bag and I ended up binning them.
Sound on them was ok - a bit tinny and after a few tries one of the earphones went so I could only get sound from one ear. It got a bit crackly and intermittent and for that reason and the reason above (fitment of said headphone) I just could not be bothered with them anymore; they were literally not worth untangling again.
I am hoping to save up for some decent over the head bigger earphones for when I am at the gym so that at least I can secure them better on my ears and there is no fear of bruising my inner ears.
You do get what you pay for - this was a gift for me but for me they were pretty useless and not worth the £4.99 my friend paid, in my opinion.
I would rate these a 1 star sadly due to the discomfort factor and one of the headphones broke after only a few uses.
Summary: A cheap pair of earphones - not suitable for everyone ears
