JVC HA-FX66-B - 'Air Cushion' In Ear Headphones I never thought I'd find better than the creative earphones I previously reviewed, but low and behold I have found some earphones to top even them, and they were an amazing set, I was all set for ordering another pair when I came across these JVC HA-FX66-B - 'Air Cushion' In Ear Headphones. I have never worn anything so comfortable in my ears before. I bought them not long before Christmas and they are still like new, so I really have to share with you just how great they really are. These earphones have never fallen out of my ears, I just had to mention that as like a lot of people, in the past I have suffered with really uncomfortable ear phones that fall out of my ears every 2 seconds. But now I use the memory foam ear pieces on the earphones which I got along with a set of three different sized silicon tip ear pieces. I have never experienced anything like them, they feel really squishy but solid at the same time, made this way to enable me to squash the ear pieces before inserting them into my ears where they seem to magically adjust themselves to fit my ears perfectly giving me 100% comfort. I haven't yet used the silicon ear pieces, I really haven't felt the need to do so as these memory foam ear pieces are, in my opinion just amazing. If they are a perfect fit for my strange ears then I am sure they will fit any ones ears. The length of the cord is quite a generous 3.28 ft. But this cord is a friction noise reduction cord with low sound leakage, this to me tells me that the these ear phones don't let hardly any, if any sound at all escape from my ears when I am using them. Plus there is no vibration if the cord is knocked. Outside noise just doesn't exist when using these ear phones. I am in my own world when I'm using them, which is brilliant in my opinion. The earphones and cord are totally black with the earpiece having the usual R and L written on them in white and the letters JVC are also printed on them. All the ear pieces that come with them are also black. I'm not sure of other colours that may or may not be available but I was really only interested in a black pair of ear phones anyway. These wonderful little ear phones come complete with carry case so there's no fear of the cord becoming tangled whilst carrying them about if they are not being used. The end which I plug into my iPod is gold plated which I think makes it look a little more classy than the usual silver colour. Also included is a tiny clip which personally I don't bother with but I guess you would use this to clip the cord on to your shirt/jacket or whatever you happen to be wearing at the time. Good idea to stop the cord from wafting around I suppose. To my knowledge these ear phones are compatible with all MP3/MP4 players which also include iPods and iPhones. I am really happy with these earphones even if they did cost a little more than my previous creative pair. But at £14.25 from Amazon I still feel I got a really good deal as they are worth every penny I paid for them. With excellent sound quality, whether listening to music, playing a game or watching a movie, the sound through these ear phones, I'd say is second to none. I can say in all honesty that I would purchase again, if and when I need to, but who knows I may find something even better. But for now I will happily continue to use my fabulous little ear phones and if you yourself are looking for comfort, quality sound and well, just basically a set of ear phones that do all those things that we expect them to do and all for a great price then look no further than Amazon and get free shipping to boot. Thank you for reading my review which may appear on other sites.
I got these earphones about a year ago to replace my aging creative EP-830 earphones. This time, when I went out to shop for earphones, budget was by far the greatest restriction. The JVC's I picked up from a local retailer for the UK equivalent of 10 pounds, relatively far cheaper than the going rate currently on Ebay. I was somewhat disparaging of the entire package, which consisted of 3 pairs of replacement earbuds and the earphones themselves. However, a few months down the lane, I developed quite a different view of the JVC's than I originally thought. They became constant companions to the gym (which I rarely frequented) and whenever I was commuting, along with my ever trustworthy Ipod touch. It has been a year since and I have used these without any issues, something that says a lot about the durability of these earphones, along with the acceptable sound on it. They are no beats, nor high end sony's, but for about 10 pounds, I got my money's worth and I am more than happy about it. Decent sound, amazing price and a very reliable year of service would allow me to give it a 5-star review. :)
JVC research shows that consumers' biggest problem with in-ear headphones is their tendency to fall out. The HA-FX66 headphones tackle that problem by using a soft silicon rubber air cushion for the earpiece body. The result is an in-ear headphone that stays securely in place while remaining comfortable. What's more, the design also provides superior isolation from background noise, allowing the user to get the most out of the headphone's 8.5mm neodymium driver. Noise caused by cord movement is also minimized because of the headphone's Friction Noise Reduction Cord. vibration-proof structure. The HA-FX66 includes a carrying case for easy transport.
