When purchasing a pair of headphones, the price factor will determine what sort of specifications you will have on the headphones. For instance, this pair of eight pounds headphones will not offer as good a sound dynamic as a two hundred pound pair of Sennheisers. That said, what you do get for your money here is a neat little pair of affordable headphones that look classy enough for most occasions.
The headphones can be bougth online for around the eight to ten pound mark, making them one of the more affordable in the JVC range. When I tried these with my MP3 player, I was surprised that they offered a good sound quality, better than expected for the price. The inbuilt cushioned muffs actually allow the deeper bass sounds to penetrate the ear canal with precision and you will be able to eliminate a lot of external sound with these cushioned muffs. The comfort levels were also impressive and they would be ideal for taking on long train or plane trips. The hi end frequency arrives with a sense of urgency here and the low end frequencies hold up well with enough conviction.
The headphones can be collapsed which is a lovely feature and one that suits me. I work with loads of headphones and recording equipment so being able to fold down your equipment is handy and keeps the office clutter free. The other highlight is the overly generous one metre lead, which allows you to trail it for a length into an amp or MP3 player. The gold plated jack connector further enhances the sound dynamic here.
Not much not to like, a good price, good sound quality and stylish look make these headphones a fair buy for the customer looking for something at the lower price end of the market.
