Advantages: Comfortable, good sound

Disadvantages: Do allow background noise to be heard, if that's an issue for you

My husband bought a pair of these as part of his search for Headphone Nirvana. I've wound up using them more, though, and while I can't give a detailed technical review, I can vouch for them as excellent headphones. I use the Koss clip-ons mostly at home, typically while playing games on the laptop while my husband watches TV. The high-quality sound reproduction means I don't have to crank the volume way up to get immersive sound through the headphones in a room where there is some competing background sound - which is good for my hearing, but also means that others in the room aren't bothered by sound coming from my headphones. They do seem to maintain the sound quality at high volumes, though, if long term hearing damage is what you're into. The fact that they sit outside the ear (as opposed to the in-ear phones that block external sound) means I can still hear what's happening around me. So if someone talks to me, or the phone/doorbell rings, I can still hear it - I don't feel cut off from my surroundings. It did take me a little bit of an adjustment period to work out how to settle the hook comfortably around my ear, but now that's under control they're comfortable for long periods of wear, too. For environments where I want a high degree of external noise exclusion I find that either big over-ear phones or smaller in-ear phones with soft silicone surrounds on them are better, but the Koss KSC75s are my favourite general at-home headphones. I've stopped taking them to work, however - I found that under extreme handbag conditions the phones tended to pop out of the clip that connects them to the earhook.

Summary: Comfy & great sound, suitable for a wide range of environments.
