Advantages: Free! comfortable, good sound quality, cheap even if you can't get a freebie

Disadvantages: They're not pink :P

I got these earphones after seeing a post on Hotukdeals.co.uk for FREE earphones from play.com. This wasn't long ago so if anyone fancies a pair you could check if the code is still working, just enter PLADALSTA9 in the promotional codes box and your total will change to £0.00 and no postage to pay.

The earphones are made by Maxell and are called Jelleez as they are soft to touch, not quite as soft as jelly though I must say!
The colour I have is Caribbean blue; a bright turquoise. They also come in red or black.

They came in a cute little packet about 4 inch tall and 1 ½ inch wide, its plastic which is clear and bright blue (the same colour as the earphones).
I am told on the front of the packaging that these come with a lifetime guarantee which is pretty good.

They are earbuds so fit snugly inside your ears. The speaker part is blue metal but the rest of the bud is soft rubber which feels nice and smooth to touch and feels comfortable in your ear too.
Jelleez are quite small, about the same size as ipod earphones so you can't feel them too much once in place.

There is a cardboard insert in the back of the plastic casing if you should need to read the instructions of how to use them though surely that's pretty self explanatory.

There is also the specification which I must admit I have never looked at when buying earphones, for anyone who wants to know:
Impedance: 32 ohms + 10%
Driver: 13mm
Magnet: Neodymium
Film: 0.009mm
Coil: 7.4mm
Rated input: 1mW
Max Input: 5mW
Cord length: 3 foot.
Ok I understood the last bit, the cord length that is! The rest doesn't mean anything to me but hopefully helps some people.

The part I'm interested in is how good is the sound quality?
And the answer is its very clear, I know a lot of people say Ipod earphones are rubbish but i've never had any problem with them. That was until I tried these and now if I listen with my old Ipod ones it sounds really unclear and almost muffled.
I always have my ipod on full volume (which by the way isn't loud enough if you ask me) and the sound is still really clear. I'm well impressed with this bargain!

Fantastic for a freebie. Full price they only cost about £3 on the internet which is great value too if the promotional code above has expired.
