I brought the Monster Beats High Definition headphones for £139 online and the first thing that grabbed my attention was its beautiful look, the shiny blue casing on the headphones looks attractive and the ear pieces are very comfortable against the ears with the high quality leather material that the ear pieces are made out of.
I find the inline volume control to be very useful because for instance while I'm at the gym or doing any busy activity, I don't have to reach all the way into my pockets to change the volume on my device.
The adjustable headband is of course highly important because we all have different head sizes but at times I've experienced some discomfort after a while with the headphones on my head because of the pressure that builds.
The 3.5mm jack/cord is reasonably long and it doesn't tangle up too easily.
The sound quality through these headphones are average but I really was expecting higher standards considering how expensive the Monster Beats are. I'm satisfied with the bass quality, which comes as an extra premium advance because the R&B and Hip Hop tracks that I listen to tend to feature plenty of bass effects.
The sound proof effect is brilliantly executed, I love the fact that I can simply press a button on the Monster Beats to cancel out annoying background noises.
I was grateful that the Monster Beats headphones comes with 2 rechargeable headphones.
There's a nice handy Neoprene carry case included, along with a cleaning cloth.
Now back to the sound quality functions, as stated above them bass quality is great but there does seem to be an issue in terms of the muddled effect in sound which may be due to tuning issues.
Well you got to give it to monster for bringing these headphones out at the right time using dr dre to make them the cool things to wear I bought them when they first come out. Yes the were the best quality music and loud at the time but now I would say there not worth the money. They leak to much sound. And hurt my ears after a while but they are ok .
I am not going to lie, i did buy these beats solely because they were pink, but friends of mine did have the black ones and they where highly recommended.
The sound quality for the user is incredible especially when you turn them up slightly (you don not need to turn them all the way up as they are really loud). I myself don't know much about music but do love to listen to it and the sound quality from my previous ones to these is a great improvement, and cuts out every piece of background noise enabling you to really feel the music. They did advertise that people around you will not hear what you are listening to but that has not been mastered yet. They are a lot quieter for people around you but they can still hear the music.
They are incredibly comfortable, the white padding which engulfs your ears is very soft and offers no discomfort what so ever.
The design itself is good, i love the colour and the contrast with the white means they match everything. The only problem i have is i am a bit of a perfectionist and like to keep everything clean, which is a bit annoying as i keep getting foundation on them, but that is just me. I also feel i am constantly buying batteries for them as i have them on most of the time and they really drain the battery, but its a small price to pay if you want to be able to hear everything the music offers.
I have not dropped or attempted to break these headphones so can not honestly say how durable they are.
I bought these headphones when i noticed they were priced up wrong in a shop so got them at around half the price, so for me they are incredible value for money, but at full price they are a bit pricey for everyday use.
Overall i love my headphones and would recommend them but if you are expecting to be able to play your music loudly without others hearing you will be a little upset.
I am completely glad that I got this headphone. I personally believe that if you are young and love listening to a complete bass and clear sound cancelling headphone then nothing can compare to these Beats. I have compared them to the. I also compared the Beats by Dre. with the Bose QuietComfort 15 and the SOUL by Ludacris. Yeah maybe the design and comfort of the Bose was better and the SOUL being wireless was a plus point but both lacked the sound quality that the Beats had. The Beats are comfortable enough for me and the red wire actually makes the Beats stand out more and make me proud as i use them. The Beats come in a nice big box which includes a manual, 6.3 mm (1/4") stereo adapter,Cleaning cloth,Storage case, 1 Headphones cable - 4.3 ft, And 1 Headphones cable - External. And the headphone runs with two AA Batteries. As you open the box you will defenitly find the Beats by Dre studio HD Headphones to be of your interest. So i would recommend this to all the music lovers out there.
MUSIC IS ENDLESS
SO GO BUY YOUR BEATS ;)
As a lover of music genres such as house, techno, bassline and dubstep I found it hard to find a headphone that could reach the level of intence bass i needed to fulfill my music experience through trial and error I have dedicated alot of time and money into finding a headphone for me (I just wish I found these earlier. Although they are on the pricey side I feel they are well worth the money.
Monster have wasted no expense in providing you with what i feel are the best headphones on the market. The band is made up of a very duriable plastic with a glossy finish and on the inside a almost leather like material which is very comfortable for what can be hours long usage. The earcups are also made up of this material which once again is very comfortable. One small but for me very important change to conventional headphones is the wire itself, the wire is very thick and through alot of testing does not tangle, this was a huge problem for me with almost every headphone i have ever owned.
The sound that comes out of these things is mindblowing you hear parts of songs you have never heard before due to the clarity of the sound. There is also a button on the right headphone to stop music (if someone decides to interupt your fun) although this didnt pause the music (which i thought would of been a nice touch) it is a very usefull extra none the less. Could not rate these high enough and have bought my girlfriend them for her birthday I hope she is as happy with them as I am.
I have been wanting these headphones for a very long time, and even with the high price tag I eventually caved in and went ahead and purchased these headphones. I must say, money well spent. As soon as I laid eyes on just the box I knew I had made the right decision. The headphones along with the packaging are well built. The sound produced by these headphones are amazing, I hear parts in songs that I have never heard before, the range is astonishing. If you are a music lover like myself I strongly recommend you consider buying these headphones, however if you are an irregular listener I would not suggest buying these, as they are not worth the money unless you are a constant music listener. They come with a nice box and cleaning cloth, as well as being collapsible, so they are very easy to transport. So if you are looking for a nice pair of headphones to buy I would definitely recommend these.
Many people re out off by the price of these headphones, especially the kind of people who think tesco value in ear headphone are the only ones you need, i thought that to but i went for it after hearing and reading so many praised reveiws. So i bought them and now it is one of the best things i have done in my life. at first i didnt really notice that much of a difference in sound quality but when i used my old head phones i could really tell the difference. the superior bass and the smooth crisp melody's this pair of headphone produce is just astonishing. It really opend up my veiw on music, before using the headphones, listening to music was just a thing i enjoyed but now it is almoast like a treat. I do recomend these headphones. The one tiny little downside is that they require 2 triple A batteries but even then that ensures that you dont drain your i pod battery, and with a good pair of batteries in these they last for months. PERFECT
When it comes to headphones I can say I have owned numerous sets, most being from the better end in terms of quality. For Christmas I were treated to the Monster Beats by Dr. Dre Studio cans. Initially when I held them they felt a good weight, and their visual appeal is undeniable. More and more headphones are now backed by big music industry names. The downfall is in the sound quality, but how will these Monster Beats' offerings stand up to the established brands such as Bose, for example.
The Dr. Dre cans are very much for the fashion concious and are extremely comfortable as you would expect from this price range of headphones. The styling is unique and although the thickly padded gloss finish headband is smudge-prone when has this ever put anyone off buying high gloss finish products? The branding is very distinct, with a large red 'b' on each can. The red audio cable is also distinct and the adaptable connection allows you to use the cans with your mobile phone aswell as mp3 players and any other audio output you can imagine.
When I were trying these 'High Definition' headphones I just had it in my mind that they would never live up to my expectations. The high quality finish and their looks in general are often a sure sign that the sound they emit is flat and lifeless. I first tried them out with my bigger equipment - my amp and CD player set-up for maximum effect and the sound was both crisp and of high clarity. On my mp3 player and laptop (for example) the sound quality is also clear to hear. The bass is rich and deep, and although I expected due to Dr' Dre's musical background they would be better at the lower end they are also great on the other end of the scale too.
Admittedly there are a number of flaws to these headphones, and at £200+ these are most definately worth bearing in mind before buying. For starters there is the high gloss finish which is easily covered in unsightly fingerprints, but if this is a small price to pay for aesthetic beatuy then there are other points to consider too. The headphones require batteries in order to use them, and you are best advised to get some rechargable ones to keep costs down. I also find it important to make you aware of the sound leak which is very noticable not least on public transport. I have always looked at the traditional large cans as something for your bedroom, to listen to music and keep sound to a minimum. Unfortunately these cans require a number of sacrifices, not least the £200+ pricetag. Why carry a large pair of cans with you when you spend so much money on finding a tiny mp3 player? Sound leak on public transport is also a downside, so they are'nt really suitable for when you are 'out and about'. The question now is why would you want to spend big money on visually appealing headphones if you are only going to use them at home?
These headphones will blow your mind, and maybe your ears. The powered amplifier inside will allow for an astounding music listening experience with powerful bass and lower tones. The active noise isolation will add to the caliber of playback in addition to wiping out the bothersome ambient noise that can be perturbing to say the least.
On top of all of that, these headphones are very fashionable and elegantly fashioned. The leather and lavish padding feels extreemly comfy on your ears and you can have them on for drawn-out periods of time without irritation or feelings that your ears are going to be blown out. They fold neatly to fit into their carrying case and they come enclosed with two cords, one of which has a mike piece for you to use the headphones hands-free with your iPhone or other music cell phone.
The only thing I didn't like was that these headphones require two AAA batteries to run the amplifier and sound isolation and can't be applied when they are not powered. I've been utilizing the same pair of batteries the headphones came with for about 3 weeks straight of constant use and they have not died yet. Still, I wish i could use them without batteries if you ever got into a jam and had no alternates. However, the power LED light will change color when the batterie level get low so that's a plus.
Overall, great headphones, plus I love Dr. Dre!
