I have a feeling that Panasonic is making the new earphones every day I mean every day you can see the new model of earphones. Now I had these but white version and I paid it much more and now I am really sorry for that. These are just a regular earphones in ear which is not my favorite thing about these things. The quality of these things is solid they are not the best but not the worst either. What I loved about these stuff is that they are very small and portable. What I don't like is that the wires are soo thick and they tie themselves so it is just frustrating and they last for short time. With this money nowadays you can get better earphones by far but they won't last a long because that's what these earphones are like. They get broken so easily so they make buy new one but for the bigger cost. I'm giving 3/5 cause they are just a solid earphones not much.
I bought these headphones to replace a pair of hard bud ones which constantly fell out of my ears unless they were completely jammed in which then made them really uncomfortable.
The Panasonic RP-HJE120E-K are a great fit and fit snuggly in my ears without falling out with the slightest movement. They come with 3 sets of gummy buds all different sizes, this was ideal for me as my partner tends to use my headphones when he's out walking...(sometimes leaving a little waxy residue) so it was great to keep my own little set!
The buds blocked out all other noise, the sound quality was excellent and I was even able to turn my mp3 up quite loud without distortion of sound!
I have since bought 2 more pairs a blue and a purple as presents to match my niece and nephews iPod cases.
For a relatively inexpensive set of headphones these are great!
True the cable is a little flimsy and can become tangled easily but this can be remedied by taking a little extra care and time to loosely wrap them up after use.
All in all a great product which I would highly recommend.
My previous earphones started to only work in one ear, so it was time for a new set. I had a look on Amazon as always and looked through the products listed, taking into account the price, who they were made by, and the consensus opinion in the reviews. There are a lot that offer extra bass, or bass boost, but I wasn't interested in that, I just wanted a standard pair of the in-ear type. I looked at popular brands such as Skull Candy, but the reviews of their products always consist of people complaining that they become faulty very quickly. Finally I settled on these Panasonic ErgoFit HJE120 earphones. The cost is much cheaper than other top brands and the reviews gave me confidence as the vast majority were positive and hardly anyone had anything negative to say.
These earphones are available in a wide range of colours. I opted for white, but I also saw black, blue, pink, purple, red and orange on offer. The cost differs depending on the colour, and white is currently £5.49.
The product is packaged in strong transparent plastic casing, and inside, another piece of moulded plastic firmly holds the earphones and the earpieces (which are given in small, medium and large sizes). The earphones are packaged fitted with the small or medium size (I can't remember which) so I needed to change these up to the large size straight away. Taking the ear pieces off is easy enough, but putting another size on over the little oval shaped plastic bits was tricky at first until I realised the trick is to fold the earpieces inside out first, allowing them to slide over easily. Also in the packaging is the usual printed information on white card. The cord is 1.1m and the plug is of the L shape variety. The cord length works great for me as it's long enough to go down to my trouser pocket with plenty of slack to spare for movement.
The earphones themselves have a unique shape and I was a bit skeptical that they would be comfortable, but as soon as I used them I was very happy with the fit and the comfort. I can go for my brisk walks without even worrying about them falling out or even becoming loose, so that has been ticked off the concern list too. You get a good depth of sound and there is no lack of clarity as you might expect with earphones as cheap as this.
Overall, I'm extremely happy with this purchase. The price is great. It's a quality brand. The product is comfortable to wear, well designed, and the sound quality is excellent in my opinion. So long as the longevity checks out, I'll definitely just buy the same ones again if I need to in the future.
I regularly listen to my ipod while out walking the dog. Over the last few years I have run through a string of earbuds ranging from dirt cheap to midrange. They have all had their problems and most die after just a few months. For the past 8 months I have been using a pair of Panasonic RP-HJE120E-K Ergo Fit Ear Canal Headphones. I chose them because they had great reviews on Amazon and only cost £6 so I wouldn't be too put out if they weren't that good or didn't last long.
I have been extremely pleased with these headphones. They have a rather unusual shape that sits in my ears very well unlike most earbuds. I can even go jogging with them not falling out. The rubbery bud part that goes in the ear is offset to one side of the hard plastic part where the cable is connected. I think this helps them stay anchored in my ears. There are two different sizes of durable, rubbery buds, which stay on the headphones well even when thrown in bags and pockets without care. The chord is a decent length at 117 cm; long enough to be functional but not long enough to get in the way. One minor niggle is that the connector is L shaped which pulls out of my ipod far easier that a standard straight plug if I catch the cord on something. However, I think this might help protect the headphone chord to a degree because after 8 months these headphones still work perfectly in both ears (which has not been the case for many of its predecessors, some of which cost much, much more). There is also a small amount of chord rustle/feedback but not nearly as bad as my previous earbuds (JVC Marshmallow Earphones which were twice the price but absolutely dreadful).
The sound quality is decent to good but nothing to write home about, but they are exceptional for the price. I have no problem recommending these earbud headphones and will most likely buy another pair when my current pair die... except a quick check on Amazon shows that these are now £8 while the RP-HJE120-E1K (which look absolutely identical in both looks and features except having an extra 1 between the E and the K in the product number) are listed at just £5.39.
