... earphones I ve got have been with me for just about a year now. They are still in fine working condition except for a couple of cracks in both earphones which hurts sometimes. But then again, I haven t been very "gentle" with the way I ve handled them. Panasonic RP HS71 ... too, and I ve never found any that have genuinely noticeable bass. So, for me, over ear wins through. They re very easy to take on and off and don t interfere with your hair. The sound quality is good, but not intense, because of the comfortable position in which they rest on your ears. They re also light and very portable and quite resilient to being bashed around. Panasonic RP-HT 222 ... got these headphones in december 2005 and they have stayed in working condition so far. They we re cheap and simple..nothing more than i wanted. I found that some mid frequencies were inaccurately projected through theses headphones. I had to make major EQ tweaks to get the right sound out of these. They had a good bass section and and average high section. I think that the highend needs to reach higher frequencies though, 22Kkhz isnt enough in my opinion. If you want these headphones just to listen to music, then they are a very good option, they deliver a powerful impact. Differences are minimal to the point of being unnoticable ( some inner electronics differing only ) .
