Great headphones back in the day
Member Name: nasarali
Advantages: Clear sound, good battery life, easy to use
Disadvantages: A bit uncomfortable, a bit bulky
I got these before i started university for just under £20, they lasted me quite a while and it was only when finally the casing fully came off, and i couldn't be bothered sellotaping the wires in the headphone unit itself back anymore, that I decided to get new headphones.
The headphones were quite bulky and a little uncomfortable when wearing for long periods, the foam that came around the ears started fading away after a few years of use, they were quite thin to begin with, when they finally came off these were uncomfortable, but not enough to put you off using them for the odd hour or two.
These were powered by 2 AAA batteries, which would normally last a few weeks. When the headphones started running low on juice, you could position the transmitter closer to the headphones to get another few hours out of it, but the volume would start going downhill. I bought some rechargeable batteries so that when one pair finished i could switch to the second pair and start charging the first pair again.
The headphones came with a volume switch on the left ear and the right ear piece had an on/off switch, which was very convenient as you didn't need to dig around for a wired remote or anything. The receiver had to be placed higher than the headphones but i could walk freely around the room and i didn't have any problems getting a signal, i could almost get a signal outside as well, but it was very faint. The sound quality on wireless headphones is never going to be as good as wired headphones but for me the sound was more than acceptable.
Overall these headphones were the best wireless headphones i have had, a lot better than any of the newer ones. I bought one of the newer models, it worked for a few months and then it wouldn't pick the receiver up, i haven't bought any since.
Summary: Worth getting if you can still pick these up
