I bought these use to with both my new tv and hi fi systems. As all my other home entertainment products are Philips and I have been pleased with them I opted to stick with the same manufacturer.
At first, when used with my hi-fi, I was really impressed, the headphones are very comfortable and block out exterior sounds. The infa red transmitter works reasonably well, however if you are moving round the room the sound quality can diminish.
It was only when I had my tv on at the same time that i experienced real problems. I dont know if its because my tv is a plasma, but when ever the picture changes on the tv screen it caused loud interferance in the headphones. Ive looked through the instruction manual which offers no suggestion, I tried moving the infa red transmitter to numerous places but to no avail. So despite saying they are tv compatable, it appears they actually arent.
